NRG Quick Release Hubs were inspired by race car technology. By utilizing quick release kits, drivers are more easily able to enter and exit their bucket seat equipped vehicles. NRG realized this for street cars and created the quick release kit as the solution. Quick release hubs also double as an anti-theft system that allows you to easily release and remove the steering wheel while parked, protected your car from being driven away.

Made from the best quality aluminum available, and thoroughly tested for smooth engagement, a snug fit, and repeat use, it does not get any better than the NRG Quick Release Hub. The NRG 2nd Generation Steering Release Kit also features anti-scratch construction, updated self-locking mechanism, and new color schemes. The new design features a built-in release button holder. Simply hold the outer release ring when the upper shaft is removed from the base. Then when you are ready to re-install the upper shaft back to the base, push it back and it will automatically click back to the base when the steering wheel is in-line.
